Birth

we come into existence,

never knowing where we came from and not knowing where will go,

we are taught that this earth, this life...is a gift

time is not only time...it is what we call 'ours'

we began thinking we were prosperous,

then we forgot and we took control,

took control of what is not 'ours'

we now have depleted everything

destruction out of jealously

we are not the highest

we were a gift

we rely solely on this skeletal undergrowth,

flesh covers and hides our spine
